Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) – 1 Day Course
The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) 1 day course is a recognised workplace first aid qualification designed for organisations with lower-risk environments or where a basic level of first aid provision is required. This course supports employers in meeting their legal duties under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Certification: Valid for 1 year (FAIB accredited)
Delivery: On-site workplace training or group sessions
Course Content
During the course, learners will develop the skills to respond to a range of emergency situations, including when a casualty:
- Is unresponsive and not breathing, including the safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Is unresponsive and breathing
- Is having a seizure
- Is choking
- Is bleeding, including life-threatening bleeding and the use of haemostatic dressings, wound packing, and tourniquets
- Is in shock with internal bleeding
- Has suffered a bur
